Sorry that your work is affecting your personal life to this extent. One can only look at or for something different. You understand the importance of this job, but it is not the only one. Others are out there. Do as you did a year or so back , start the search for "next". I wish you luck. one does not need to be mentally burdened by a job.

200 km per hour (about 120 mph)...
Then things kinda slow down... almost like slow motion and I get really vigilant.
The highways are always dry and deserted. It fucking clears the sinuses... I'll tell ya that! 👍
I'm a trained professional. My car kicks ass. Don't try THIS, in your neck of the woods. It's not for the meek.
The 'stupid'? Yes. But not the meek. 😮

Count to a hundred.
Measure your alternatives.
Weigh the pros and cons of moving on.
Always... always... wait a few days before you blurt out, what's on your mind.
If you think it'll work? Make it happen.
If you're in doubt... then... suck it up. If this feeling came up once - it'll come again. Be prepared! 👍

You need to get that stress out of you life, my friend! Any chance of working in a different field/context/environment? You cannot continue to burn yourself out all the time!

Great question my friend and that first MEME says it all really. And I don't hold it in ( well only at the club because I have to )! But when I have reached my limit I let it be known, and go off on my own and relax and just let my mind be free of everything. So I can just rejuvenate myself and then move on. I hope you have a great evening my friend..

Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

I rarely reach a limit because I don't like to give up. I'm a stubborn ol' gal. Though keeping my temper can reach a limit … with no warning … just a snap!

Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!

I've worked very hard for many years like you I'm done and want to find something else. The problem is once you reach a certain age it's hard to transfer in nursing because of money. The job I want just posted and I can't apply for it because I'm on a short term disability hopefully it's there when I go back. Don't give up keep on going and the job you want will become available.

It is hard to burn bridges but somtimes you have to.
If it is time to move on -move on.
Some people might have wondered where you were. You haven't blogged for awhile.
It is what it is.

My " I've had enough" level unfortunately manifests itself as a medical response 99% of the time. I know if I start to itch or have mini-hives it's time to bale out

I haven't got to this stage of my life without getting to the point of saying enough is enough a fair few times. What happens is almost always the same....I have a light bulb moment telling me if I don't act I am not being true to myself. I had one of those moments a short while ago.

When you are being pushed beyond your breaking point is when you are also increasing your chances of other health issues caused by the stress.

It is time to look for something else my friend. This kind of stress can only damage your health.

I'd like to think that my limits are pretty set so I don't put up with much for very long. However, maybe there's another way of looking at it. Perhaps what you want to put up with changes. I could see wanting to make a career move when I was bored or tired of doing certain things and wanting to do other things. But as far as limits, I think you know immediately. It's just whether you rationalize it.

I'm really glad you decided to do something about your job situation. It sounds really awful.
