Aside from the interesting orange pepper, it all looks pretty normal to me!

I need to up my veggie skills, I definitely don’t consume anywhere near what I should be.

That looks like quite a bit of a haul. Great buy. Veggies are important to our diet.

I recently saw an add for a similar type of fruit/veggie box offering, but they don't ship to my area. I think these types of offerings will become more common though.

When I eat from my garden it is decidedly less than pretty stuff quite often. But you know what? It HAS flavor, as opposed to those visually perfect, and totally devoid of flavor, stuff I get from the store in the winter.

That's a HECK of a lot of food for one person for one week!!

I see the ads for the imperfect boxes on facebook... it just seems like so many veggies that half would end up going bad before I could convince the family to eat them...the pic of your order just convinced me that that's exactly what would happen! Great price tho!

I see the site has fixed the random missing word issue by simply eliminating the entire post.

There is a movement (not widely known yet) withn the native american population to try and reverse the trend towards diabetes by eating native foods, that their ancestors harvested direct from nature if possible, and to eliminate as much of processed "anglo" foods from their diets as is possible. A very hard thing to do it turns out, as many of the native foods species have gone extinct or are so hard to find, some have set up 'growing & trading" businesses to aid the quest for them. And as to meat, while game meats dont appeal to everyone, it turns out buffalo (bison to you purists) is one of the healthiest meats ever consumed in north america. It is also one of the most expensive meats to buy however. Some tribes are raising their own buffalo to feed the members that are diabetic, other tribes raise to sell for the general market.
I myself have always had a diet rich in wildrice & corn (the meal only as whole corn & me do NOT get along), and have always preferred game meats to domestic raised meat sources ( I do 'jones' for beef now & then, as well as chicken ) and I found wild pork was much superior to domestic pig! (also hard to come by however), but as a cook since childhood I know how to cook such to make it tasty. I also eat alot of WILD CAUGHT ocean fish (never farm raised & never sourced from outside of north america), but again expensive. Note, if you eat enough correct veggies, you dont need more than abut half of the proteins (meat) as we are used to eating!
But as a population, we have gotten lazy in our cooking, and so our buying of foods, and keeping of foods, so we are a product of what we eat, lotsa possibly un-healthy chemicals & additives!

Well done McH! About 9 years ago we cut our food waste down to zero, it was actually really easy to do in the end. I just couldn't bear to see all that food go to waste.

ps - I think the words glitch may indeed be fixed.......
