How can one deny the doughnuts place in the food world . I can remember my introduction them,, my Grandmothers special fried cakes. Donuts that were deep fried, sometimes sprinkled with white sugar. They were the fall time treat and all the grand would struggle go their house do their chores, knowing she would treat us a couple for our efforts . Imagine my shock, when I went into the Air Force and they would have so many varieties, even jell stuff ones! I used to try to have one variety or another almost daily. Now that I am chronologically advanced, I hold off to maybe once a week. Are you a Donut person? Do you have a favorite type? Have you every watched them being made?

 I do not miss making those donuts. I had to go in at 4 when I worked at Walmart to start them. Now what I do miss is not having Krispy Kreme here. I love the white cream filled ones.
The Light is shinning and she is lonely and waiting in the darkness.

 I do so love me some donuts. We used to make them at home growing up, but now I like to hit up the little mom-and-pop bakeries now and again for a tasty treat. But not often. I could eat boxes of them every day, but I resist. Ha ha.
You see light dappling on the water and forget the deep, cold dark beneath.

 We prefer yeast donuts....but spudnuts are top of the list for us...we even make them but not often!

 I once drove 6 hours to do the "Donut Trail" .... 12 different bakeries in 24 hrs. I got one donut at each place. MmmmHmmmm.
Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!

 You have made me want some donuts now..lol Last week I had a couple of chocolate bars. And I had a glazed Buttermilk Bar and they are so amazing. I hope you get to enjoy your favorite donuts today..
