In A Kind Of Limbo A Poem

He has not told yet
If we are going to see
Each other again.
It makes feel sad
And a little inadequate
That he is not gung ho
For another meeting.

It is not that
We are not texting
And chatting
I am just hesitant
To broach the subject.
Should I be more direct
And just ask?
Goodness I would hate
To receive an answer
That was negative.

The weekend is approaching
The time we usually make plans
As this is a holiday weekend
Sunday being Father's day
It might not be possible
As I know how he wants
To spend time with his Dad
Who is all alone
And not in the best health.

I know skipping this weekend
May not be my fault
But still
I hope he has an idea
Make that ideas
For making the next time
We get together
Extra special.

But in the meantime
I am left in this kind of limbo
It is not a fun place to be
For very long.

it is not an onerous task,
and if the answer is in the negative,
for reasons given to be an honoured son,
then still gives you time to project,
other plans for Time we should not neglect,
to go out and breath the warming season air,
to enjoy bloom of flowers, and trees green, in the bright and welcoming summer air...
to talk with strangers and discover
the world is full or people interesting who could be perspective lovers....
