Some ideas for such a gift exchange.

Batteries that are commonly used with a note "Toy not included"

Insulated drink bottle (Yeti knock off)

Healthy snacks - nuts, dried fruit, etcetera

Sounds like a lot of fun - enJoy the time with your family.

I have a work party coming up, everyone dontaes a toy for an under priviledged child to receive as a "cover charge" to attend

If I had a $10 limit, think a gift card to Dunkin donuts or Starbucks for coffee

I like the vaseline mature body - a need to keep your beautiful skin soft through the winter, and if I were blessed to be able to apply it it would fill a necessity lol - keep on blogging, enjoy your posts!!

Here, we call it "White Elephant" Christmas exchange! but the rules are the same. The only hard part is finding something for $10 these days.

I prefer 3 ply myself!

Just to know you
Just to live inside your grace
Just to feel you
In my heart, at this time, in this place

Treasure of bliss, never ends

When it comes to giving.... cash fits everyone's size. While it may seem lazy, sometimes that little bit of cash isn't something you can give without cringing as your need for that little sum of money could easily fill the gas tank or add a few meals at home. Add a hand written card of genuine care and compassion and the few bucks isn't such a big deal.

As for work parties...….. I've avoided them these last 10 years. It seems the focus isn't so much on the season or sense of comradery but more about the spirits consumed. And I've had my share of those.

I love white elephant gift exchanges! You never know what you're gonna end up with. Plus, it 8s fun to see which gifts get passed around the most. What I contribute as a gift definitely depends on the type of function I am attending.

For a family event, I usually put together an edible gift bag, that will appeal to the kids as well. Last year, I put together a gift bag that had hot cocoa mix, mini marshmallows, and two festive mugs in it. It wasn't much, but the kiddos sure fought over it.

For a work events, I usually play it safe. Since most people have an appreciation for coffee, I would go for a Starbucks gift card with a thermal car mug to go with it.

For the more debaucherous gathering, I always gift booze! For $10, you can usually find a decent bottle of wine that someone will enjoy. For higher budget functions, Tequila Rose, Cuervo, or Grey Goose vodka tend to be crowd pleasers.

If I were to ever attend an x-rated gathering, I would probably go with a fun gag gift that could be surprisingly fun. Imagine opening a gift full of penis shaped lollypops, boobie candies. edible panties, and/or candy necklace style cock rings. If gag gifts aren't your style, I think that some sensual massage oils would be a cool, gender friendly gift.

Hope you've been doing well, my friend!

Friends and I used to get together at a mutual house (that could hold all of us) and do a White Elephant gift exchange. White Elephant is similar to Dirty Santa/Yankee Swap, except ours generally consisted of mish-mosh gifts. Things that are of a certain dollar limit, or more if you could afford to do such, and yes... even things that we received as gifts from prior years that we feel someone else could utilize better.

Rules: We wrap up the gift, place it in a pile on the coffee table, and roll a pair of dice. Whomever rolls the predetermined number amount gets to pick from that pile whatever gift they want. Once all the gifts are "taken", we keep rolling to "exchange" our gift for someone else's if we feel they have "the better gift".

It may seem a bit tacky to some to re-gift, but that's what makes this gift exchange fun. I've seen someone take a $10.00 generic gift card to a place like Walmart, place it amongst a bunch of newspaper or packing peanuts, and wrap it up inside this huge-ass box! Of course everyone thinks that because it's a *big gift* that it'll be the better one.

You do have to set a time limit on how long the White Elephant game will commence, as players do have a habit of exchanging more than one gift to get that exact one they want.

I hope you have a wonderful time with family. Swap is a fun holiday time. I once arranged one for my employer- we had 200 folks to a sit down dinner followed by the swap of$ 10 under gifts ( back when $10 bought a lot). The " I have to have it" gift was a six pack of beer from new local craft brewer that was on limited distribution. All the gift were really nice and a lot came from true crafters like tree ornaments

I did this with a team from work for a few years. One gift that was brought back each year was the inflatable sheep and a pair of handcuffs.
