I only have heard of Jessie's Girl rendering my opinion on the rest . . . moot.

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

I agree, it does seem kind of ironic that moot is used that much. Especially since I think most would have to Google it to know the meaning of it!

Jessie's Girl is the only one I noticed used moot in the lyrics and thought it odd then.

Anyways, thanks for sharing your quirky, inquisitive side. You seem like you'd be a lot of fun to have a conversation with.

Hi IMaySayYes.

thanks for sharing that tidbit of information...

I don't think I've ever categorized music for the use of a word...

My "top 5 or 10 songs" would depend on the mood I was in.. but generally speaking, if I were to name a few right of the top of my head right now it would be the following
"In the end" or "Hemispheres" Rush
"Kind of Blue" Miles Davis
"Sunshine (Adagio in D minor)" John Murphy- extended mix
"Orange Sky" Alexi Murdoch
"Dead man's party" Oingo Boingo
"Salala" Angelique Kidjo
"Paradise" Sade extended mix
"Crash into me" Dave Mathews
"Secret Journey" or "Demolition man" Police
"Cobra Style" Teddy Bears or Robyn version
"Trying to find a balance" Atmosphere
"Feel" Robbie Williams

I also listen to jazz, lots of World music Putumayo records, and lots of classical. I was a private dj for a while doing weddings and events used to work almost every day and on some days twice and three times in a day, so the regular top 40 is not really my thing. I have a variety of tastes and interests and songs that I normally gravitate to are ones you don't hear on the radio...

    Quoting  :

"Yewt", maybe he was related to Joe Pesci. Remember from "My Cousin Vinny"...

Every time I look at the clock it says 4:20. I guess that's why I smoke to much weed!

You have a wide range of musical interests. You came up with some pretty interesting choices, but you have me curious now as to how many songs have the word "moot" in them. I'll have to do some research now. Lol
