Lucky you.
I got you beat. I found a 1,500 lottery ticket at work on the copy machine back in 2001. Geez I'm getting old.

They have to fix screens cheaper there than here. They would have taken your entire c note. Probably more for an iphone.
How much to fix the screen Blondie?

Now back to the other posting from yesterday. I think I can get through the rest of it today as I listen to Rachel Maddow.

Congrats on helping the environment, the lady & dog and winning. Around here just getting served at our Subway is a lottery win so I don't go there anymore.

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

The thanks for the overall good fortune and deeds should go to the unselfish person who threw his garbage and lottery tickets on the sidewalk and set the chain of events in motion.

Great story. I had a similar encounter a couple of years ago. I had received $100 gift card for purchasing a pool vac. I held on to it for several months to use at Christmas but it was expired when the time came to buy stuff. I contacted the company who reissued the card minus a $10 charge. When it arrived I went to the grocery store and bought a few things. on the way out I happened upon a young guy who asked for money to buy food, diapers for his family. I don't carry cash and told him sorry. As I was leaving I thought about the gift card in my pocket and figured why not give it to him. It was found money anyway. So I flagged him down and told him there was at least $60 on the card and he was welcome to it.

You know I think those tickets fell out of my pocket, I was eating my Sub and dripped on my shirt..reached into my pocket and pulled out a napkin and you guessed it the lottery tickets fell out...But you had a lot more fun with them, than I would have had....so all's well that ....oh by the way not my trash....I have little bundles of garbage in my car that I eventually throw into the recycling bin. ends well?
