I just heard an actress interviewed where she mentioned The Gaze of Men and her awareness of it. She was probably referring to an old essay on cinematography by Laura Mulvey (a dry, Freudian critique on phallocentrism) but, in many ways she also seemed to be aware of The Gaze of Men and how it effected her day to day behavior.

Sorry, photos of tanned attractive women don't usually make me think of things like this but I guess I had too big a lunch and the lizard brain is taking a nap.
