Kinda like Gloria Gaynor.... I will survive. I got my second COVID vaccine yesterday, everything still appears be in working order. My arm is swollen at the injection sight and it feels warm and tender the touch, but aside from that, I'm side effect free. I'm VERY thankful! I'm not ready to talk about the Spawn yet.... But, we have hugged it out and things are better. I've just got so many emotions, some of it is being fueled by the fact that my leaves in a few short weeks. Just typing these words brought tears to my eyes. I don't think I can talk about that either. A post best saved for another day.... |

I really hope I get to chat with him like that too! Even if it's only for a couple of minutes... Just so I know he's ok.

Like You ; My 2nd dose was Tender , the 1st was not  In the days before ZOOM , would talk & see daughter on video chat on Tuesdays & Thursdays when She went too Basic Training for the Army

Is your son joining the armed services? I remember when we waved goodbye to our son as he was about to board the aircraft that would take him across the country for basic training. My wife was in tears and I had a lump in my throat. Long story short, he served 28 years, rose to the rank of Warrent Officer and served in all the world's hotspots.

We all have those times when our emotions get the better of us and we lash out at unintended targets. The good thing is that you have your blog to vent and share when you feel up to it. I hope that someday when your spawn is old enough, she will read your blog. That might make you cringe but I think it will show her how much you love the little rascal. That's my shot anyways. I'm fortunate enough to be an essential worker, when the pharmacies in my area have doses that didn't get claimed they offered them out to the essential workers. I lucked out and was able to get my shot early. 9 of my coworkers and I were able to get it on that particular day.

I'm glad it went well too. My arm is just really sore today, that's new, the vaccine must be working it's way through the muscle. It hurt to do my stress exercises this morning. Egads!

So glad you are working it out with the daughter.. Glad also that you are now finished with the shots.. I had mine and had absolutely no side affects... Give your self 2-3 weeks for he shot to completely work and you can give a sigh of relief that you are protected, now to get all the young ones to be the same..
