It is the same the world over. Whilst teaching them how to lie, cheat and backstab might help in the world as it is they are not the tools that our children will need in the world that we hope they will fashion. Our kids are the hope of a better future and our behaviour makes the world of today a little more humane and caring.

Once you've done your best... there's nothing else to give. I'm constantly impressed by my daughters when I see them in public. They'll use the same language as I would... in a conversation, but they put it in their own words. Yep... it's called parenting. Seriously... I don't know how my kids turned out the way they did... considering their father has - no inner monologue. Who fucking knew? 🤔 ... is there another way to look at it Going Too Fucking Far NEW Blog Features RevealeD O O A Foolproof Method Posted Over on that NEW site O O

Actually, YOU are the cleaner, the vacumm is just the tool YOU use to clean with! As to your son, mmm yep, sounds like a mini-Me, congrats ! I swore for years I picked & chose the parts of my parents personalities to create my own that I approved of, but as I now am approaching the age they began to go downhill, I find that I also inadvertently picked up alot of what I didnt like about them, especially my dad, and am their (or his) Mini-Me too! And ya know, some of what I thought I rejected as an educated teen in his personality, I seem to LIKE in myself now! Crazy eh?

Regarding your wordplay *dilemma*: language is a minefield where correctly-chosen words can be misinterpreted as tautologies that explode in your face. With friends you can (or should be able to) make your point through context and enjoy the groans they may offer in good humor. When you want to make an impression, it is best to *get in front* of the repetition and use a synonym instead. The same idea applies to your son. Our digitally-social world has made it easier than ever to interact in communities where the excellent values you have instilled in your son are appreciated and reciprocated. Your son will have no trouble either finding or *fitting-in* with kindred spirits. In his workaday interactions with the *rest* of our cold-cruel world, I offer two suggestions: 1. Keep things focused on the *business at hand* and 2. Don't let the *little things* get under your skin. My work requires that I work with people with whom I have absolutely no interest in building friendship. Still, we have good working relationships; when necessary, I cheerfully bite my tongue and focus on getting what I need out of the transaction. Living well is still the best revenge.
