Three Years Ago

Three ago to the day I lost one of the greatest inspirations of my life. My best friend Adam ...and I miss him every day. HE was one of the greatest inspirations because he was in a wheelchair and yet he NEVER let stop him from achieving his dreams. He started his own business Miller Promotions and avidly promoted wrestling esp Northern wrestlers. He always had a smile onhis face and he always would talk to when depression side swiped so bad I'd be in tears. He will ALWAYS be the reason I give back when I can to my community LOVE YOUTO THE MOON AND BACK ADAM and I miss you so much xo

Oh, for some of us, things like this can be one of the more difficult things to endure.. I understand all of the condolences, it is only a normal and right thing to offer someone..

If I could offer something else though, to somewhat quote an historical figure..

"Be glad that such a man lived - not sad that he died.."

Maybe an extension of that could be to embrace and be glad for what you got to have in your life, rather than be be focused on the loss..

The past is history.... Sure, fond memories are worth hanging onto, even reliving in your mind, if it brings a smile to your face.. But other things? They're over with and done now. And now, nothing can change what was.. Not to erase your memories - lest history be repeated. But it's alright to let go of what's over with, not happening now.

Tomorrow is a mystery... Sure, hopes, dreams, wishes of.... But we just don't get to know - not just yet...

But -today- is a gift - that's why they call it - THE PRESENT... The only place you may truly live, this very moment - in this very moment - even as you read these words written.. It's history now though, a moment you will never get back..

So what will you do with your gift? The choice is yours..

There is a very valid reason though - why circus performers walking the high wire - do not look down....

I'd like to say that it gets easier but the truth is that void will continue to exist. Focus on that smile of his and how he chose to inspire others. Sorry for your loss, the best I can do is a virtual hug.
