The month of giving thanks.
The month of giving thanks. Thanksgiving is celebrated this month here in the U.S., and as in the past when I was on here, I will be surprising a person or two with a special unsolicited treat. It will not be erotic but it will be something that I believe they will like. This past month I did two of these special treats for a couple of different reasons and one was for a post that people responded to. I would venture to say that most people enjoy thoughtful surprises so I look forward to and hope that it comes across the way I intend. I put a lot of time and thought into these gifts and some people are actually surprised by the effort I go to. Did learn however that sending something to Canada from here can be a bit tricky. It took several trips to the post office but I think I finally figured it out. When I give gifts there is never an intent to get anything back in return other than an acknowledgement that they received it and maybe a thanks. I have always been a generous soul and I get as much from giving as they do from receiving. As a matter of fact, I am probably a terrible receiver of gifts. I never know what to say and truly do not feel like I need anything. Christmas is always hard, especially when people ask what I would like. For my loved ones I just ask for an activity that we can do together. As I have grown older I appreciate time spent with loved ones much more. I have lost two family members this year and I have a really close family member knocking on deaths door. They are a fighter and I give them support as much as possible. So do you have any traditions during this time of year? and how are you at receiving gifts? |

Do you have a special talent? and how often do you use it for others? I can think of a few great special sexual talents people might have... and they would certain be welcomed by others. But I better not go there or else I will never get anymore work done today.

Like you, as I've gotten older, I would rather have a memory than an item. My daughter understands this and supports it. We always make sure we do something together for each birthday and Christmas. I have no trouble receiving gifts at designated gift giving times. It's the unexpected gift that I have trouble with ...especially if it's NOT from a close family member. Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!

It seems strange that we have one day that we give thanks when most of us give thanks several times a day. It is one day though for the family far and wide to get together and give thanks. Pretty much like religion once a week we go to Worship when in reality we thank God continuously

I love to give and if I shop I shop all year and put sticky notes on things as to who I bought it for . This year will be different as I was incapacitated with foot surgery so all my gifts are made at home. I loved every second of it. So all I need to do now is get the baskets and watch old movies while I wrap. Ia m thankful to have the friends I have As for November 22 I always make a turkey even if I am alone (Virtual Symposium Group) use Virtual Symposium Group
