Gay men who want to look female, should not compete in sports against women.

Mary Gregory, a man who chose to look like a woman, was 11 months into his 12 month hormone therapy, when he was stripped of his 4 World Record Power Lifting titles in Women's Power Lifting , after sports officials discovered he had not completed his "Transformation" into a woman.

Even if he had completed his transformation, he still has the denser bone structure of a male, more muscle mass than a female, stronger ligaments than a female.

Trans-persons should compete against the gender they were born into, or in separate Trans-events.

Men, essentially, pretending to be women, competing against actual women, is not fair to women. Women have worked hard for a very long time, to compete in sporting events against women, not compete against men who feel they are women.

A transgender is not a new gender person . A transgender person is someone who wanted to transform their body into how they think of their self.

Does gender reassignment surgery and taking certain pharmaceuticals make a woman, now a man? No.

Does gender reassignment surgery and taking certain pharmaceuticals make a man, now a woman? No

I suggest giving them their own sports category.

I am all for trans categories in sports such as single competition sports. Team sports shouldn't make a huge difference.

Maybe if the Trans Community had a healty outlet there would be less alcoholism and drug use, less self harm, within the community. There would be more acceptance of Trans People as real humans and future generations (and even current generations) will have a positive role model to look up too.

So instead of calling a trans female a gay male trying to look like a woman. Call for single person competition sports to make categories for them to compete in. It levels the playing field for all involved. It gives the trans community a healthy outlet to pent up energy, and provides role models., because not all trans woman can be on Ru Paul's Drag Race.

Team sports would make a difference, too. The pretend-male would be the weakest on the team and hinder the chances of winning against a team of men.

The alcoholism, drug use and self harm, more likely derives more from that gay individuals personal inabilities in general, one of these inabilities; dealing with the confusion of feeling like a different gender, but looking as a gender they can't identify with. On top of that, if the gay man or gay woman surgically changes their body to "Appear" the way they feel about their self, then that could be a whole other mental problem for that person to deal with.

Does society really need gender dysphoric role models? I'd say, "No".

Should society encourage gay people to change their appearance to look the way they feel? Again, I'd say, "No". These men and women are just gay individuals.

The medical community and pharmaceutical community certainly will encourage gender dysphoric people to undergo these operations because of the money. "The cost for female-to-male reassignment can be more than $50,000. The cost for male-to-female reassignment can be $7,000 to $24,000. Between 100 to 500 gender-reassignment procedures are conducted in the United States each year. " ......Now include the money that needs to be spent to the pharmacy every month, every year. ... So really none of these agencies are going to say, "Don't do it", and if they did, it would be a muffled whisper.

I so agree. I wonder, do you ever see a female to male trans do male competition? If so, do the men complain?

I've never heard of any News coverage of pretend-men competing against men. But certainly a woman pretending to be a man would not last competing against a man, for the same reasons a pretend-woman would dominate in sports competing against women.
