Hello Beautiful.  Good writing is good writing. Reusing words fits into good writing if it is appropriate to the text. I try to emphasize to my students that a thesaurus isn't there friend. Two words can have the same denotation with wildly different connotations. I share your struggle. There are only so many verbs that one can use to describe a penis being inserted into a vagina. Fortunately, I've not had any encounters that have stood out, lately, so it's a moot point.
