Not researched it but I suppose it is because they feel we are hiding our true sexuality preference via being transgender. Example if born male and you like men then why not just be gay. That is the argument i have mainly heard. I like men but when I tried to be gay it just felt weird dancing with a guy as a guy. So I went back and forth until I saw the first transgender in a magazine and realized that there was an alternative. So I began crossdressing to justify my attraction to men and it just took off and grew further and further until I started my transition by taking hormones and collecting a larger wardrobe. I am still not sure how far I will take it as I am now comfortable dating men as Gina. Fortunately more men are getting comfortable and acceptable of those who are transgender and we don't feel as pressured to become part of the binary world of male or female. I am perfectly fine with being a bit different. Gina
