Yes, a gold membership can be very much worth getting , especially in your area.

Heathen_G...you're helping me start to lean in the direction of a membership...but...

I guess one of my main concerns isn't the chances of meeting people (I've met some good people here already...married, unmarried, older and younger)...but as a standard member, things that the site promise aren't working (Meelp video chat) (delivery of messages), etc. I'm wondering if the site is more stable, and delivers what it promises if you're a paying member...and they just don't care about standard members.

Does video/cam chat even work at all for you who are members? It was working for years...and then suddenly died, and there seems to be no way of working this out the bugs with the admin here as a standard.

Does the admin actually take care of concerns when they arise for paying members?

I'm seriously considering getting a membership, but I just want to know if Meelp holds up to their end of the bargain, and provides the services that they advertise. So far...they haven't been able to gain my trust, and I want to hear from paying members if they've had any problems and if the problems were resolved...and if they noticed a difference between how the site operates as a standard vs a paying member.
