The Thing That Wrecks You

The Thing That Wrecks You

I’m sitting here listening music and enjoying my coffee, as I have done every morning since this lock down has begun, and a song called “The Thing That Wrecks You” started . I happen love this song. Not just the meaning, but the harmonies and the way the song builds an amazing crescendo only drop off just a haunting reminder of what it was that wrecked you.

This got thinking. First off, the things that can wreck us are as vast as our own individual imaginations. That said, things that wreck us aren’t always horrible. Yes, sometimes they are, but sometimes being wrecked sexually is a very liberating experience. All night passion can wreck you, but in an incredibly delicious way.

So tell me, what is it that wrecks you?

In life... not being able to help someone I want to be happy, be happy...
sexually... long slow buildups, anticipation, lust, passion, gotta have it now need, but you can’t have it yet... the tease that brings you to the edge but you can’t go over (yet)... mental stimulation that runs the gambit between intelligent witty conversation and innuendo... to finally getting that release that has built up so much...

This lockdown wrecks me. It brought me back here, and I'm not so sure that's a good thing.

I'm sorry to hear that...if it's any consolation, it brought me back, too.
