HNW: Favorite drink

There is a legendary drink that has been satisfying the thrist of Michiganders since 1866. A local staple that we kind of take for granted because it has always been here but it is essential in summer memories and backyard barbecues and my personal favorite drink. Vernors ginger ale.

Well...Vernors is not actually ginger ale. It is more of a perfect mix of ginger ale and ginger beer. Stronger than ginger ale but milder than ginger beer and non alcoholic. It has a unique taste that is unmistakable and it very carbonated so the bubbles tickle your nose when you drink it.

Vernors is the perfect drink for when you were young in summer time, sitting around with friends talking about how you wish you where older. You couldn't wait to get to the time when you could do and be whatever you wanted and drinking a vernors made you feel a little closer.

Vernors was created by a Detroit pharmacist . It is the oldest surviving "ginger ale"
and is now made by Dr Pepper/Snapple in Plano, Texas
It became commercially produced in 1880

Vernors is everywhere in southeastern Michigan. All I had to do is go to the nearest convenience store.
