Brush offs and booty calls

When I woke up on Sunday morning, I noticed I had received a couple of texts during the night at 1:30 am. Evidently, a lady friend had reached out and was sending a booty call. Sorry I had missed it but it started me thinking.

We had been intimate for a couple of weeks and while the sex had been good, she was too insecure with her body for my taste. I believe we mutually understood this and when she decided to move, our physical relationship ended. We kept in touch over time but nothing serious.

I have noticed a pattern. Whether it is her or me who ends things, she usually reaches back out in 6 months. Not all the time, but more than half. I have asked some lady friends and they consistently say their former male playmates contact them after 3 months.

Do anybody else experience the same thing? A related question is when a woman gives you the brush off, is it okay to touch base after 3 months?
